Moonlight Basking
On the night of the Full Moon, turn off electric lights and other forms of light pollution, or go to a night sky park.
Begin your meditation either laying down, face up, sitting, or standing with arms wide to the moon.
Meditate on yourself glowing with moonlight
You may want to bring along a sacred tool or a crystal or gemstone to bathe them in the Moonlight as well.

Drink Up the Blessings
Go outside under the Full Moon if you can. Or perform this ritual at an open window facing the Full Moon.
Utilize Hadō Kokyū-Hō (Card #6) & Chikyū no Kokyū (Card #7) to ground yourself.
Begin with meditation in Gasshō (Card #27).
When you feel connected to Universal Ki, smudge yourself & your surroundings.
Create a sacred circle.
Within the circle, fill a clear chalice or other vessel with pure water, preferably from a well or spring - but filtered will do in a pinch.
Hold the chalice up to the Full Moon so that it’s light can shine into the water in the chalice. Fill your heart with honour and love for the Divine Feminine represented in this Full Moon. Ask the Goddess to energize the water and bless you.
Now drink most of the water from the chalice, saving some for an offering to the land after your ritual.
Then meditate, sitting in Lotus, with hands facing palms up, feeling the waters fill your body and reach every cell. Listen for any guidance you may receive during the meditation.
When the meditation is complete, give thanks by pouring the rest of your moon water onto the land where you performed the ritual or offering it to the local plants.

Drawing Down the Moon
Perform this ritual in a private place where you are not likely to be disturbed.
Standing in the center of the sacred circle, hold your arms up above your head, curving them slightly and holding your palms toward each other making yourself into a great chalice.
Call upon the Moon Goddess you wish to connect with. As you call upon the Goddess, imagine a shining disc of Moonlight coming down into yourself through your chalice arms.
Drink in the power, wisdom, and light of the Moon Goddess.
When you feel full, slowly move your arms down, palms facing in, in front of your face, pulling that Moon Ki down into your heart. Fold your hands over your heart.
Experience yourself becoming one with the disc of Moonlight and the Moon Goddess. Meditate with this energy and connection for 3 -9 minutes. Listen for guidance and messages.
When you sense it is time to end the ritual, give thanks to the Moon Goddess and Sacred Moon. Close your circle, making sure to thank your helpers for their assistance.

Who are “The Guides”?
What is their purpose?
Why should you connect with them?
The Guides are many. They serve multiple purposes. And they come from multiple sources. A Guide is simply that – someone who can help to lead you down a path, and hopefully point out the pitfalls and stumbling blocks along the way so that you don’t get stuck on them.
If you do get stuck, these guides can often offer advice that may help you get unstuck. Hopefully the Guides are able to help us learn valuable lessons along our journey. Ideally, we will have a solid relationship with our guides before we ask for their help, but they are there for us regardless of the status of our relationship with them. The better your relationship with your Guide, the better their support along your path.
There are many types of guides: Ascended Masters such as Buddha or Jesus, or Mikao Usui, the Founder of Reiki; Angels and Arch Angels; the Gods and Goddess of the world’s religions; the Christian Saints; mythical beings such as dragons, fairies, and gnomes; and even beings who have never been connected to this realm. Often our guides present themselves in a form that will be relevant and acceptable to us in our current frame of mind and understanding. They come and go in our lives, showing up as we need them, to support us through particular tasks or lessons and leaving just as quickly once we’ve learned our lesson.
In this book we touch upon a few “standard” guides who are generally around for a quite some time: our Lifetime Guide, our Reiki Guide, our Highest Guide for this moment, and our Patron God & Goddess.
Take time to nurture and strengthen your relationship with your Guides by learning their communication styles (see the section on the six clairs/page 255 at the back of the book for an introduction to communication styles) and learning to trust in their advice. The Guides will never steer you wrong; that is not their purpose. Their purpose in your life is to support you.
Your immediate goal is to learn to trust in their unconditional love and support.

THE VIBE: Awe & Wonder
THE WORK:
Everyone who wants to connect with a Goddess can. It takes some time and effort to work with the Gods. They aren’t like Guides – their purpose is not to serve you! They are here for their own purposes and pleasures.
In Paganism, we say our Gods walk beside us on our paths, but as with any relationship, our friendships with our Gods need to be nurtured and respected.
